What's in the box.

Two cables. 210 watts.
Built for Dell Precision workstations: two USB-C cables carry up to 210 W, up to four displays, Gigabit Ethernet and five USB ports. One cable works with other USB-C laptops.

Charges while it works.
With both USB-C cables connected to a Dell Precision 7000-series workstation, the 240 W adapter delivers up to 210 W to the laptop. On a single cable it delivers 130 W to Dell systems and 90 W (USB Power Delivery 3.0) to other laptops; the second cable can then charge a phone or tablet at up to 15 W.
The USB ports keep charging phones and power banks with no laptop connected, as long as the dock is on its adapter.

Up to four displays.
Pick your laptop and layout.
Two DisplayPort 1.4, plus HDMI 2.0 or the rear USB-C (one or the other: they share a channel). Choose your laptop's DisplayPort capability and how many screens you run.
Dell: the HDMI and the rear USB-C video port are toggled; only one of them can drive a display at a time.
With Intel graphics and the laptop screen on, Dell supports two external displays; NVIDIA or AMD discrete graphics support three external displays plus the laptop screen. Dell's table covers the dual-cable connection on recommended Precision systems only; it doesn't give single-cable figures.
Figures from Dell's WD19DCS User Guide display resolution table. Each monitor's EDID also limits them; on Linux the external count is one less than shown. HDCP up to HDCP 2.2.
9 ports, front and back.
Video, network and USB on the back; USB-C and USB-A up front. No audio jacks on this model.

Questions we get asked.
Will the WD19DCS work with my non-Dell laptop?
On a single USB-C cable, yes, if the laptop has DisplayPort over USB-C: non-Dell laptops get 90 W (USB Power Delivery 3.0). The dual-cable connection and its 210 W are for Dell Precision 7000-series workstations. The dock's power button, Wake-on-LAN and MAC address pass-through work with supported Dell systems only. Dell supports its docks with select Dell systems; check the Dell Commercial Docking Compatibility Guide.
Why can't I use the HDMI port and the rear USB-C for two separate monitors?
Dell built the HDMI 2.0 and the rear USB-C video port as one shared output: only one of them can drive a display at a time. Use the two DisplayPorts plus one of those two.
Will the dock charge my phone with the laptop unplugged?
Yes. Dell calls it the charging station feature: with the dock on its own adapter, the USB ports charge a phone or power bank even with no laptop connected.
My connected devices stopped working after a power cut. What should I do?
The dock runs on AC power only and must renegotiate power with the laptop after an outage. Dell's reset: unplug the USB-C cable from the laptop, remove the adapter from the dock, connect the adapter first and the laptop second.
The fan comes on. Is that normal?
Yes. The fan is temperature-controlled with five speeds and runs briefly when you first plug in the adapter. A loud fan means it's running hot: clear the vents and keep the room under 35 °C. If over-temperature protection shuts the dock down, unplug the USB-C cable and power, wait 15 seconds, and plug the power back in.
How fast does it ship?
Every order ships with tracking. Delivery options and timing are shown at checkout.
What warranty comes with it?

Is anything left on the WD19DCS from a previous owner?
No. Renewed units go through firmware and reset before they are listed: settings returned to factory defaults, and any stored settings cleared. We've supplied IT hardware to businesses since 2006.
Is it new, or renewed?
This listing is new: the dock ships factory sealed in Dell's own carton, with our cables and cloth packed alongside.
