What's in the box.

One Thunderbolt cable.
Your whole desk.
Plug the WD19TB into your laptop and it takes over: power, up to three displays, wired network, six USB ports and two audio jacks, all through one Thunderbolt 3 cable.

Charges while it works.
The 180 W Dell adapter powers the dock and sends up to 130 W up the cable to a supported Dell laptop, or up to 90 W to anything else. On Dell Latitude and Precision systems that support it, ExpressCharge works at that 130 W level.
The ports keep charging with the laptop unplugged, as long as the dock has its adapter. The front USB-A port is a 10 W PowerShare port for phones and headsets.

Up to three displays.
Pick your laptop and layout.
Two DisplayPort 1.4, one HDMI 2.0, a USB-C video port and the rear Thunderbolt 3 port. What you get depends on the laptop, so choose yours first, then the number of screens.
Figures are Dell's published maximums from the WD19TB display resolution table. HDMI and the rear USB-C video port share one channel, so only one of them can drive a display at a time. Four displays need a Dell Precision 7530, 7540, 7730 or 7740 in discrete-only graphics mode. Linux shows one external display fewer than listed. 5K needs discrete graphics or a Thunderbolt-to-dual-DisplayPort adapter. Results also depend on each monitor.
Twelve ports. Front and back.
Quick-access USB and a headset jack on the front; video, USB, network, line-out and a Thunderbolt 3 port on the back.

Built for the whole floor.
The WD19TB is part of Dell's commercial WD19 family, built to be updated and inventoried across a fleet.
Firmware at scale
Dell's standalone dock firmware utility runs silently from the command line, and Dell Command | Update can deliver it. Updates also run on Linux and ChromeOS.
Asset inventory
Dell Command | Monitor reports each dock locally or remotely, and Dell documents SCCM integration for remote deployment.
PXE boot
Image a laptop over the wire through the dock once the BIOS enables PXE and Thunderbolt boot support.
Power button sync
On supported Dell systems the dock's button works like the laptop's own: power on, sleep or force shutdown.
Works with what you already own.
Dell recommends a Thunderbolt 3 port and also supports USB-C ports with DisplayPort Alt Mode. Supported Dell laptops get the full 130 W and power-button sync.
A Thunderbolt 3 port (recommended), or a USB-C port with DisplayPort Alt Mode (supported). Dell lists its supported systems in the Dell Commercial Docking Compatibility Guide.
Dell recommends current BIOS, graphics, Thunderbolt and dock drivers, including the Realtek USB GbE Ethernet and Realtek USB Audio drivers for full function. Dell Command | Update can install them.

Questions we get asked.
Will the WD19TB work with my laptop?
Dell recommends a Thunderbolt 3 port and supports USB-C ports with DisplayPort Alt Mode. Dell docks are supported with select Dell systems, listed in the Dell Commercial Docking Compatibility Guide. Supported Dell laptops get up to 130 W and power-button sync; non-Dell laptops get up to 90 W, and the dock button does not work with them.
On a USB-C laptop without Thunderbolt the display limits are lower (see the layout selector above) and the rear Thunderbolt port works as a USB 2.0 port.
Why am I asked to approve a Thunderbolt device after I log in?
That is Thunderbolt security. If the laptop's BIOS sets Thunderbolt security to User Authorization or Secure Connect, Windows asks before it connects the dock. Choose Always Connect if you trust the device, or Connect Only Once. You won't see the prompt with security set to No Security or DisplayPort Only.
Will the dock charge my phone with the laptop unplugged?
Yes. As long as the dock is connected to its power adapter, it works as a charging station: 10 W on the front USB-A PowerShare port, 7.5 W on the front USB-C, 15 W on the rear Thunderbolt port and 4.5 W on each rear USB-A.
My devices stopped working after a power cut. What should I do?
The dock runs on its own AC power only, so a power cut drops everything connected to it, and it has to renegotiate power with the laptop afterwards. Unplug the dock's cable from the laptop, unplug the power adapter from the dock, then reconnect the adapter first and the laptop second.
What if my displays don't detect, or flicker?
Use the cables that came in the box, check the monitor is set to the right input, and check the resolution is within the limits for your laptop and number of screens. HDMI and the rear USB-C video port can't both run a display at once. If a screen flickers, power the dock off by disconnecting the cable and then the adapter, and reconnect the adapter before the laptop. Current BIOS and graphics drivers fix most detection problems.
What warranty comes with it?
It is covered by the AnyHDD 1-year warranty from the date of delivery, against defects in materials and workmanship and hardware failures under normal use. It may also carry the manufacturer's warranty. It is covered by the AnyHDD 1-year warranty from the date of delivery, against defects in materials and workmanship and hardware failures under normal use.
