What's in the box.

The paper pile, gone by lunch.
Load up to 80 mixed pages, press the button, and the fi-7160 scans both sides of each one at 60 pages a minute — straightening, cropping, dropping blank pages and reading the color as it goes.

Mixed sizes, receipts, cards. No pre-sorting.
The feeder takes anything from a 2 × 2.13 inch stub to a legal sheet in the same stack, at paper weights from onionskin to 110 lb card. Plastic cards go through flat or embossed, up to 1.4 mm thick. An ultrasonic sensor hears two sheets stuck together and stops before you lose a page, and the acoustic paper protection listens for the crunch of a forgotten staple.
Sticky notes, taped receipts and labels that would trip most feeders get a manual bypass — the Intelligent MultiFeed Function lets you tell the scanner the double-feed is intentional and carry on.

How much paper do you have?
Here's how long it takes.
Fujitsu rates the fi-7160 at 60 pages a minute single-sided and 120 images a minute double-sided, at 200 or 300 dpi on letter paper. Pick a day's volume.
Fujitsu's rated speeds apply to letter-size pages at 200 or 300 dpi with the noted compression; actual speed depends on the computer and software. Reloading the feeder adds time the arithmetic doesn't include.
Scans that don't need fixing afterward.
The PaperStream IP driver cleans every image as it comes off the sensor — so what lands in your document system is already straight, cropped, de-blanked and ready for OCR.

Built to be one of many.
The fi series is Fujitsu's professional line, designed for departments that run scanners all day and IT teams that manage them by the dozen.
Consumables that last
The pick roller and brake roller are each rated for about 200,000 sheets or one year, and swap without tools.
Fleet management
Scanner Central Admin Agent reports scan volume, consumable wear and errors from every fi-series scanner to one console.
Batch capture
PaperStream Capture separates batches by barcode, patch code or blank page and files to your destinations. Capture Pro adds data extraction.
Runs cheap
38 W scanning, 1.8 W asleep, under 0.35 W in auto-standby. ENERGY STAR and RoHS.
Works with the software you already run.
TWAIN and ISIS are the interfaces every document application speaks. If your software has a "select scanner" menu, the fi-7160 will be in it.
A USB port and the PaperStream IP driver, a free download. Windows on x86 or x64; Arm isn't supported for this model.
A network drop, a separate flatbed for cards, or a subscription. PaperStream IP and PaperStream Capture are included with the scanner.
Renewed, the way we do it.
Every fi-7160 goes through the same five stations before it's listed.
Intake and identification
Model and serial logged; the scanner's own sheet counter read and recorded.
Full functional test
A duplex color test batch scanned and inspected for streaks, skew and double feeds; card feeding and the ultrasonic sensor checked.
Rollers and reset
Pick and brake rollers inspected and replaced if worn. Latest firmware applied; settings returned to defaults.
Clean and grade
Glass, rollers and paper path cleaned per Fujitsu's maintenance guide. Cosmetic grade recorded.
Repack
Packed with the AC adapter, USB 3.0 cable and AnyHDD microfiber cloth in a new box.
Backed by AnyHDD's one-year warranty and 30-day returns, with free return shipping on defective items. We've supplied IT hardware to businesses since 2006.

Questions we get asked.
Does it work on Windows 11?
Yes. The fi-7160 datasheet lists Windows 11 and Windows 10 (plus 8.1, 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 to 2022). Arm-based Windows PCs are not supported. Download the current driver from the fi Series support site.
Does it work with a Mac?
The fi-7160 datasheet lists an Image Scanner Driver for macOS and for Linux (Ubuntu). Some of the image-cleanup functions that PaperStream IP provides on Windows aren't available in those drivers, so if the cleanup features matter, plan on a Windows PC.
What's TWAIN and why does it matter?
TWAIN and ISIS are the standard interfaces between scanners and applications. Because the fi-7160 ships with both, it appears as a scanner inside document management, accounting, legal and medical-records software without any special integration. That's the practical difference from consumer ScanSnap models, which use their own software instead.
Is the fi-7160 still supported?
The fi-7160 runs on PaperStream IP drivers, and the current datasheet lists Windows 11 and 10 and Windows Server through 2022. The pick roller (PA03670-0002) and brake roller (PA03670-0001) are standard consumables, each rated for about 200,000 sheets or one year. Our warranty is with us, not the manufacturer.
When do the rollers need replacing?
Fujitsu rates the pick roller and brake roller at about 200,000 sheets or one year each. The scanner's counter, visible on the LCD and in Software Operation Panel, tracks sheets since the last replacement. Both rollers swap by hand in a minute.
Can it scan receipts and ID cards?
Yes. The feeder accepts documents down to 2.0 × 2.13 inches, so receipts go in with the letter pages, and plastic cards up to 1.4 mm thick feed flat or embossed — three flat cards or one embossed card at a time. Taped receipts and sticky notes use the Intelligent MultiFeed bypass.
