Plug one USB-C cable into your laptop and the USB-C Dock Gen 2 adds up to three displays, wired Gigabit Ethernet, six USB ports and up to 60 W of charging.
Charges while it works.
The included 90 W adapter powers the dock and sends up to 60 W back up the USB-C cable to the laptop, as long as the laptop's USB-C port accepts charging. One cable carries power, displays, network and USB.
The rear Always On USB-A port keeps charging a phone or headset at up to 5 V / 3 A whenever the dock is on its adapter, with or without the laptop connected.

Two DisplayPort 1.4 and one HDMI 2.0. What you get depends on the DisplayPort version your laptop's USB-C port supports; choose it, then the number of screens.
Figures are Lenovo's published maximums from the dock's user guide. Lenovo notes that with three displays the resolution drops to 1080p, and the real output also depends on the laptop and the monitors.

Lenovo built the Gen 2 for USB-C laptops that carry video over USB-C, and lists Windows as the supported system.
A USB-C port with DisplayPort video (DisplayPort 1.4 for 4K 60 Hz on one display). Charging needs a USB-C port that accepts power in.
The dock driver is preinstalled on compatible Lenovo computers. Otherwise it comes from lenovo.com/support/docks.

Questions we get asked.
Will it work with my non-Lenovo laptop?
Lenovo designed the Gen 2 for laptops whose USB-C port carries DisplayPort video, and its datasheet lists selected 2018 and 2019 ThinkPads as the supported systems. Lenovo's dock footnotes say its USB-C docks work with laptops that support the industry-standard USB-C Alt Mode, while MAC address pass-through, Wake-on-LAN and the mirrored power button may not be available on other brands.
The user guide lists Windows as the supported operating system; macOS isn't on Lenovo's list, so we don't recommend it for Mac desks.
How many monitors can I run, and at what resolution?
Up to three. With a laptop whose USB-C port supports DisplayPort 1.4: one display at 4K 60 Hz, two at 4K 30 Hz, or three at 1080p 60 Hz. With DisplayPort 1.2: one at 4K 30 Hz or two at 1080p 60 Hz. Lenovo's guide points out that three displays run at the lower resolution.
Does it charge my laptop?
Yes, up to 60 W over the USB-C cable from the included 90 W adapter. If the laptop doesn't charge, Lenovo's checklist is: use the dock's own adapter, power cord and USB-C cable, and make sure the laptop's USB-C port supports power input.
My wireless mouse or keyboard lags. What should I do?
Plug the 2.4 GHz receiver into one of the rear USB 2.0 ports, as Lenovo recommends. To wake the laptop from the keyboard or mouse, avoid the Always On USB-A port and use a USB 2.0 port instead.
A monitor stays blank. What should I check?
Make sure the laptop is awake (the dock's screens stay dark in sleep and hibernation), the dock is on its adapter and every cable is seated, and the dock driver is installed. Then try a lower resolution. If it persists, Lenovo suggests disconnecting the dock, reinstalling the driver from lenovo.com/support/docks and reconnecting.

What warranty comes with it?
One year from the date of delivery. It may also be eligible for the original manufacturer's warranty, but AnyHDD's own 1-year coverage applies either way.One year from the date of delivery, covered by AnyHDD.
What if I need to return it?
If it fails in the first 30 days, you choose replacement or refund. There is no restocking fee, and refunds go back to your original payment method. If the item arrived defective, damaged, or isn't what you ordered, AnyHDD pays the return shipping; for any other reason the return label is yours to cover.
Is anything left on the USB-C Dock Gen 2 from a previous owner?
No. Renewed units go through firmware and reset before they are listed: settings returned to factory defaults, and any stored settings cleared. We've supplied IT hardware to businesses since 2006.
