Charges while it works.

The included 90 W adapter powers the dock and sends up to 65 W back up the USB-C cable to the laptop, as long as the laptop's USB-C port accepts charging. Lenovo notes that 100 W charging needs its 135 W slim-tip adapter, sold separately.

The rear Always On USB-A port keeps charging a phone or headset at up to 5 V / 2.4 A whenever the dock is on its adapter, and the front USB-C supplies 5 V / 3 A.

Wired where it counts.

Gigabit Ethernet gives a laptop that lives on Wi-Fi a steady connection at the desk, and on supported ThinkPads the dock passes through the network tools IT already uses.

  • PXE bootStart a supported computer from the network through the dock.
  • Wake-on-LANIncluding Wake on LAN from Dock, depending on the computer.
  • MAC address pass-throughThe laptop keeps its own MAC address through the dock on most ThinkPads.

Easy for IT to keep current.

Built for mixed fleets and home offices: firmware updates itself, and the usual IT tools work through it.

Silent firmware updates

Lenovo Dock Manager installs dock firmware without interrupting the user.

PXE boot and Wake-on-LAN

Image, start and wake supported computers over the network through the dock.

MAC address pass-through

The laptop keeps its own MAC address on the network on most ThinkPads.

Always On charging

The rear Always On USB-A port charges a phone at 5 V / 2.4 A whenever the dock has power.

Works with USB-C, USB4 and Thunderbolt laptops.

Lenovo lists USB-C, USB4, Thunderbolt 3 and Thunderbolt 4 laptops running Windows 10 and later.

Windows10 and later
What the laptop needs

A USB-C port with DisplayPort video (USB-C Alt Mode), or USB4 or Thunderbolt. Charging needs a USB-C port that accepts power in.

What you need to install

The dock driver, and Lenovo Dock Manager for silent firmware updates, from Lenovo support. MAC pass-through, Wake-on-LAN and the mirrored power button may not be available on non-Lenovo laptops.

Questions we get asked.

Will it work with my non-Lenovo laptop?

Lenovo designed the Universal USB-C Dock for most Windows 10 and later laptops with USB-C, USB4, Thunderbolt 3 or Thunderbolt 4, as long as the port carries video (USB-C Alt Mode). MAC address pass-through, Wake-on-LAN and the mirrored power button may not be available on other brands. macOS isn't on Lenovo's list.

How many monitors can I run, and at what resolution?

Up to three. One or two displays run at up to 4K 60 Hz; with all three video ports in use, each runs at up to 4K 30 Hz. Lenovo notes the result also depends on the USB-C or Thunderbolt port on your computer.

Does it charge my laptop?

Yes, up to 65 W over the USB-C cable from the included 90 W adapter. For up to 100 W, Lenovo sells a 135 W slim-tip adapter separately. If the laptop doesn't charge, make sure you're using the dock's adapter and cable and that the laptop's USB-C port supports power input.

My wireless mouse or keyboard lags. What should I do?

Plug the 2.4 GHz receiver into one of the rear USB 2.0 ports, as Lenovo recommends. To wake the computer from the keyboard or mouse, use a USB 2.0 port rather than the Always On USB-A port.

A monitor stays blank. What should I check?

Make sure the laptop is awake (screens stay dark in sleep and hibernation), the dock is on its adapter and every cable is seated, and the dock driver is installed. Then try a lower resolution. If it persists, disconnect the dock, reinstall the driver and reconnect.

How fast does it ship?

Every order ships with tracking. Delivery options and timing are shown at checkout.

What warranty comes with it?

One year from the date of delivery. It may also be eligible for the original manufacturer's warranty, but AnyHDD's own 1-year coverage applies either way.One year from the date of delivery, covered by AnyHDD.

What if I need to return it?

If it fails in the first 30 days, you choose replacement or refund. There is no restocking fee, and refunds go back to your original payment method. If the item arrived defective, damaged, or isn't what you ordered, AnyHDD pays the return shipping; for any other reason the return label is yours to cover.

Is anything left on the Universal USB-C Dock from a previous owner?

No. Renewed units go through firmware and reset before they are listed: settings returned to factory defaults, and any stored settings cleared. We've supplied IT hardware to businesses since 2006.
